Studying Business Administration in DU offers comprehensive business knowledge, leadership skills, networking opportunities, and a wide range of career paths in various industries. The Department of Management Studies was established the same year the University began full academic operation during 2017/2018 academic session. The department consists of Two (2) Programmes namely: B.Sc. Business Administration and B.Sc. Accounting. Dr. Adelekan S. Adedeji is the pioneer staff of the programme and was appointed the First Head of Department of Management Studies where the Programme is domiciled. He was later joined by Mrs. Aderinto Christy O. who served as the first Programme Coordinator. Subsequently, five (5) lecturers joined the programme as full time namely; Dr. Ojo Olanipekun (Associate Professor). Dr Akomolafe Rufus (Senior Lecturer), Dr. Falana Ranti (Lecturer II), Dr. Ajibade Temiloluwa (Lecturer II) and Dr. Tjiani Omofolasaye (Lecturer II). The Department has fulltime and visiting academic staff who engage in teaching and research in a wide variety of areas, covering Management, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, Small Business Management, Business Communications. The part-time lecturers engaged in the department are Prof. Shenge N. A., Dr. Eze Benneth U. and Dr. Oladejo D. Total students in the programme at present are four. The Programme is currently in her fourth year and has experienced development since its commencement.
